What you will do...

You’ll design a wide variety of graphics — mainly digital media that will help communicate and convey our company’s brand and product value. To be impactful, you will:

  • Build a deep understanding of our brand, offerings, and customer needs

  • Continually strive to “walk in the shoes” of our target market (developers) to relate to and understand what drives them, and share your insights with the team

  • Study relevant information and materials, and subscribe to and follow design trends and tools

  • Design concepts by creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes and present to various stakeholders for alignment and approval

  • Create a wide range of graphics, diagrams, illustrations, animations, and layouts for product illustrations and websites

  • Continuously review current design solutions and suggest improvements

  • Communicate finalized designs and specifications to engineers expected to use them to build products

  • Work in a highly collaborative fashion with product, marketing, sales, and engineering teams to identify, align, and prioritize design improvement opportunities

  • Participate in design reviews and share your work regularly with the design and leadership teams

On a typical day, you’ll…

  • Partner with experienced designers to conceptualize, design, present, and execute forward-thinking creative graphic and web designs, including: blog post illustrations and animations, digital ad creative graphics, websites, landing pages, newsletters, and more

  • Deliver finalized, full-fidelity design comps for marketing and implementation

  • Manage creative asset production across multiple projects

  • Use meticulous attention to detail as it applies to the application of PSPDFKit internal design guidelines

  • Create in a non-linear and agile method

  • Collaborate with and present advertisement and web design concepts to cross-functional teams using words and visuals

About you...

Our ideal candidate is passionate about all things design, is capable of delivering brilliant creative ideas, and shows attention to detail. You could be that candidate if you:

  • Are analytical and systematic in your approach to problem-solving

  • Think in systems and are able to extrapolate and extend shared patterns and behaviors

  • Can reduce complex information to its essence and manage ambiguity

  • Are curious, if not passionate, about software development and improving document handling workflows

  • Take ownership of assigned tasks within projects

  • Feel comfortable sharing your process with others to get feedback and adapt

Qualifications...

  • Bachelor’s degree in design

  • 3+ years experience as a graphic designer or digital designer

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects), Figma, or comparable creative software

  • Demonstrable graphic design skills, with a strong portfolio

  • Comfortability executing core design skill sets: visual design, interaction design, and information architecture

  • Advanced knowledge of typography, layout, motion design, and illustration

  • Frontend HTML / CSS experience is a plus

  • Ability to collaborate, regularly iterate, and validate your ideas with team members

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong organizational, project management, and self-directing skills

  • A strong focus on users and solving their needs with an investigative and inquisitive mindset

  • Ability to thrive in an autonomous environment and communicate asynchronously (we’re a fully remote company)

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in fluent English (written and spoken)
