Associate Editor

RedStream is searching for an experienced Editor to work with our Professional Services client.

In this role the editor will write and copy edit drafts that rigorously follow conventions of written English and ensure consistency of voice/tone/style and alignment with our client’s style and risk guidelines.

The ideal candidate is both process-oriented and creative: You can multitask, pay attention to details, make smart editorial calls, and have a knack for crafting compelling copy.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with other editors, you’ll create long-form narrative content about project work, people, and capabilities through blog stories and case studies.

  • Curate published insights and write crisp, engaging copy for select newsletters, editorial products, and promotional assets, under the direction of key stakeholders.

  • Apply your strong project-management skills to ensure on-time publication of all work.

  • Stay up to date on business news and trends, as well as the client’s research, to ensure communications are in touch with current public discussion/research and aligned with the client’s position.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree required

  • 5-7 years of experience in a business writing and editing role, including digital publishing, preferably for an English-language business publication or professional-services firm

  • Some understanding of global business trends and knowledge of one or more industries

  • Data literacy and familiarity with audience engagement (e.g., SEO, LLMs, social media)

  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint), team share tools (e.g., Box, Slack, Zoom), and generative AI tools and platforms

  • Proficiency and fluency in verbal and written English is required, other language skills are a plus

  • Proficient editorial skills (e.g., writing, editing), judgement, and business literacy, with ability to absorb complex ideas and distill them into accessible copy for global audiences

  • Communication skills (oral, written, presentation)

  • Willingness to be edited by senior colleagues, and receive/act on feedback

  • Problem-solving skills

  • Organized, with project management skills (e.g., the ability to meet short- and long-term deadlines, and steer an effort through to completion)

  • Ability to work independently in a low-structured environment and to deal with ambiguity; willingness to proactively seek guidance

  • Positive attitude, collaborative working style, and team orientation
