Payroll and Tax Specialist

The Payroll & Tax Compliance Specialist will be responsible for helping R365 customers with all R365 Payroll Tax functions. They will collaborate closely with internal teams and Taxing jurisdictions. 

How you'll add value:

• Research, reconcile and prepare tax returns in a timely manner for federal, state, local jurisdictions

• Generate and complete EFTPS Batch Processor payments to the IRS

• Setup and maintain portal access for various jurisdictions

• File annually state and local W2s and annual reconciliations

• Assist Payroll Operations with quarterly, year-end, and annual compliance activities.

• Research payroll tax issues raised by internal stakeholders and customers and provide guidance

• Able to meet and exceed strict deadlines while handling high volume of clients

• Other duties as assigned

What you'll need to be successful in this role:

• 2+ years of tax & payroll compliance analysis or related experience; or advanced degree and equivalent work experience

• Demonstrated working knowledge of U.S. local, state, and federal payroll tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements to ensure product and services are compliant

• Attention to detail and strong organizational and work prioritization skills

• Knowledge and experience in the SaaS / Software industry preferred, but not required

• Advanced demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel and tax and payroll systems and how they operate

• Ability to create, maintain, and improve processes in effort to increase overall team efficiency

• Exemplary analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills including experience with large amounts of data and in developing audit reports, metrics, and reporting mechanisms

• Ability to work with company executives to understand the company’s business needs and strategy

• Excellent written/verbal communication skills

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use upmost discretion when accessing sensitive information

• Compensation: Restaurant365 focuses on equitable pay for our team and aims for transparency with our pay practices. This position has a salary range of $25-$31.25 per hour. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location.
