
Product and Operations Manager (MBA/Master's University Graduate)
Scale is at the forefront of enabling Machine Learning across data driven industries.
As a Strategic Product Manager, you will work on Scale’s highest impact investments or most pressing problems. This will generally involve delivering results for strategic customers or developing new products or solving novel challenges in order to move key company metrics. The role involves a combination of engineering, product management, and operations work. The ideal candidate has a strong entrepreneurial mindset and is comfortable working under ambiguity and owning “must win” outcomes.
As a Product Operations Managers, you'll be designing and building solutions, tools, and processes to overcome new technical challenges as we scale products from 1→N. Product Operations Managers in Delivery are key cross-functional players in executing on customer-facing projects and in driving the scalability, efficiency and performance of our operations. The ideal candidate is ready to drive stellar product and process designs, run pilots, tests, and experiments, then hand over new designs to a team of skilled operators.
These roles are essential pieces of Scale’s Operations team. You will be part of a team of project managers, communicators, and collaborators who shape our operations. These roles work cross-functionally with multiple teams (e.g., Engineering, Product, Marketing, Operations, Analytics) across the company and around the globe.

You will:
Build & Iterate: Design new processes and tools and drive their implementation across the organization within the US and globally. Collaborate with stakeholders to improve processes for new and existing customers.
Analyze & Experiment: Use quantitative experimentation to derive result-oriented actions for user acquisition, retention, experience, and performance.
Design for Scalability: Simplify and streamline existing processes. Focus and remove barriers. Collaborate with stakeholders to improve processes for new and existing customers
Drive Data Delivery: Project manage key customer engagements. Ensure success against contracts while optimizing for throughput, quality and cost.
Product Development: Develop new products or enhance existing ones to fulfill the needs of strategic customers or initiatives
Work on some of the most impactful problems at the company
Required Qualifications:
Academic Background:
MBAs and/or a masters degree in a technical field and/or an analytics heavy major (e.g., Engineering, Economics or Business.)
Ideally you’ll have 2-3+ years of industry experience in an operational or product role at an early-stage startup, and/or 1+ years in a top-tier consulting firm, and/or a graduate degree in business.
Experience
Analytical, planning, and process-building experience.
Experience leading and influencing without authority.
Experience working on operational problems (or a desire to do so)
Experience with data-driven analytics, including database querying or spreadsheet creation (SQL preferred)
Experience taking a product or process from 0 -> 1
Mindset
An entrepreneurial mindset that balances creative problem solving with the desire to run through walls to deliver outcomes. You are excited about building things from scratch!
Excited to do intense, high impact work (you should be prepared to work long weeks when necessary)
Ability to solve difficult problems in high-stakes environments
Nice-to-Haves:
Software engineering background (a degree in computer science or equivalent experience)
Experience working in product development or product management
Entrepreneurial experience
