
Sr. Financial Analyst, FP&A
What we're looking for
Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, you will assist with the annual budget process, monthly/quarterly forecasts, long-term planning, and monthly reporting for department budgets, as well as consolidated total company reporting. This will be an important role within the FP&A team requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as being detail-oriented with an eye for accurate reporting and analysis.
The right person for this opportunity will assist the FP&A team with process improvements and have the opportunity and expectation to help the business review critical investment decisions. You have a solid background in GAAP accounting and financial analysis, strong communication abilities, are a problem-solver by nature, have the ability to adapt and work in a fast paced and ever-changing environment, and can multitask and prioritize competing requests effectively.
What you will be doing
Learning and using Adaptive Insights, the software platform we use for forecasting.
Track expenses and revenues vs budget monthly and reforecast and analyze fluctuations
Support the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis in the annual budgeting process and the monthly/quarterly forecasting process
Assist in performance of ad hoc analysis, as well as financial implications of potential investment cases (ROI analysis)
Assist in the calculation and analysis of many of our quarterly KPIs for board meetings and earnings calls
Act in a financial support capacity to business unit managers and executive management team
Identify ways to automate and improve efficiencies in processes, especially automation of balance sheet and cash flow forecasting
Updating Adaptive Insights with information from NetSuite, our ERP system
Assist with the integration of newly acquired entities, when applicable
Assist in the implementation of additional financial software as needed
Qualities you possess
Highly proficient using complete Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in reporting, consolidation, and financial analysis. (Software industry experience is a plus.)
Strong working knowledge of GAAP and Financial Statements (Balance Sheet/P&L/Cash Flows)
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present up to the Executive/Board of Director level.
Individual must be an independent thinker who is able to perform in an evolving and changing environment while maintaining a high energy level
Experience working with organizations during rapid growth and expansion
Strong deductive reasoning/analytical skills
Experience with Adaptive Insights, NetSuite, and SalesForce a plus
