As the Assistant Controller at Scribe, you will be the first dedicated Accounting hire, responsible for developing robust financial and management controls, and ensuring our reporting is timely and accurate. This is a unique opportunity to build out our accounting principals from scratch. In this high-impact role, you will oversee the month-end close process and partner with the Director of Finance and Operations to scale our financial operations with Scribe’s growth. • Prepare timely financial reporting packages and interpret financial information for directors, shareholders and leadership

  • Ensure the accounting function has the appropriate tech stack and internal processes to scale with the business

  • Partner with FP&A on budget vs. actual review, mapping GAAP to management reporting and tracking YE / QE GAAP adjustments

  • Provide ad hoc strategic and tactical financial assistance and leadership on key business issues

  • Manage relationships with external auditors to facilitate completion of audit procedures in a timely and efficient manner

You could be a great fit if

You have strong accounting fundamentals and want to help lead a startup through rapid growth to IPO. If you are excited to expand your responsibilities beyond journal entries and build scalable systems and processes at a fast-growing startup, then this is the opportunity for you!
