Django Developer (No agencies!)
Summary
Django Engineer — join a small team using Claude Code in production
Remote · European time zones roughly (GMT±2 max) · Full-time · Hiring now
We're Senturo! We primarily help US K-12 school districts and other organizations with large device fleets keep their devices secure and provide tools to recover them if they go missing. A TinySeed-backed B2B SaaS serving education customers in 26 states and 8 countries, headquartered in London with a fully remote team. We're looking for a backend engineer to join us and help us ship fast.
Why this role is worth your attention
Claude Code is a first-class tool on our team. Not a pilot, not a novelty — daily, on a real production codebase, with teammates who've figured out how to get serious leverage from it and will mentor you on the same. If you're genuinely curious about what AI-assisted engineering looks like when it's properly integrated, this is one of the better seats available right now.
You'll also get
A small team where your work is visible and matters
Joint reporting to our CTO (architecture) and COO (product), with day-to-day mentorship from our senior backend engineer
A stable, growing, mission-driven business (education)
Modern tooling, async culture, and real autonomy once you're up to speed
What you'll do
Ship features across our Django backend — automations, reporting, third-party integrations, and work that connects them to the frontend. You'll contribute to architectural discussions and learn from engineers who've shipped a lot of production code.
What we need from you
2–5 years of professional experience shipping production Django/Python — we care about real production experience, not job titles
Strong PostgreSQL fundamentals — schema, queries, migrations
REST API design and third-party integration experience
Excellent written communication (we're fully async across time zones)
Pragmatic ship-it instincts
Bonus: Celery or similar async queues, MDM/EdTech/B2B SaaS background, prior Claude Code or Cursor experience.
Compensation and benefits
While we're growing fast, we're primarily bootstrapped — we pay fairly for our stage, but we're not going to pretend we compete with FAANG. What you get in exchange: genuine autonomy, modern tooling, and visible impact. We'll share the specific salary range on the first call, before you invest serious time.
Fully remote position
20 days paid holiday per year, plus your country's public holidays
Fully flexible hours — we're async-first and trust you to manage your time
Equipment provided — high spec laptop
Annual learning budget for courses, books, or conferences
Paid sick leave
