Manager, B2B Content Marketing & Strategy (Remote)

The Channels & Service department focuses on expanding Squarespace's core customer base by developing and scaling solutions for high-value customers, like creative professionals, medium-sized businesses, and large enterprises.

We are looking for a passionate B2B Content Marketing Manager to support our growing Professional User and Enterprise business lines. As a natural storyteller with a strong strategic lens, you'll set the content marketing strategy and manage the execution for each of our target customers. You'll partner closely with Business Leads to define the role content marketing can play in our business objectives of growing these businesses through acquisition and retention, and oversee work to achieve those goals. You'll manage a team of in-house and freelance creators and the relationship with external digital agencies to help you execute on your strategy through tactics such as transactional and marketing emails, sales enablement material, guides, blog posts, video tutorials and live webinars. Additionally, you will collaborate across the organization with our Marketing, Creative, and Video content teams to ensure the holistic content strategy aligns strongly with the Squarespace brand.

This role is based in New York and reports to the VP, of Channels & Services

You'll Get To...

  • Lead the content strategy for Professional User and Enterprise in collaboration with business leads and marketing counterparts

  • Develop multi-channel, multi-quarter campaigns and content calendars

  • Manage a team of creators and ensure efficient and on-time delivery of high-quality content in a variety of formats and media

  • Identify relevant metrics to track performance of content initiatives and the team

  • Review performance metrics and other feedback, and iterate on strategy and optimize execution based on results

  • Collaborate with our Product Marketing team through the creation and delivery of proposals, calendars, project plans, and creative briefs

  • Partner with business leads and marketing counterparts to develop brand guidelines

  • Manage outsourced content creation including freelance and agency relationship management, and budget tracking

  • Develop processes to ensure that content remains up to date and relevant.

  • Occasionally research and write copy, as needed, for various channels including forums, web pages, emails, newsletters, blog posts, product guides, sales enablement materials, video scripts, etc.

Who We're Looking For

  • Track record of developing comprehensive strategies and tactics, and effective leadership

  • 8+ years of experience in B2B content development and/or content marketing

  • Experience managing a team or otherwise leading others in content development indirectly

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work cross functionally and with multiple stakeholders

  • Strong sense of empathy for creative professionals and their clientele

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Experience with Squarespace or other content management systems

  • Experience with CRM platforms like Iterable

Cash Compensation Range: $110,000 - $155,000 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, qualifications and experience, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
