About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Email Marketing Specialist to own email and lifecycle marketing across a portfolio of client accounts.

This is a senior, hands-on role. You will not just plan campaigns and hand the work off to someone else. You will be expected to think strategically, prioritize well, and directly build, launch, and optimize a meaningful share of the work yourself.

You'll own email strategy and execution across campaigns, automated flows, segmentation, list growth, deliverability, and reporting. You'll build in the client's ESP (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, and similar), write and edit copy, set up and test flows, and use data to drive real improvements in open rates, click rates, and conversions.

We also want someone who is eager to embrace AI in practical, thoughtful ways: actively experimenting with AI tools, rethinking workflows, and finding ways to do better work more efficiently. Strong email fundamentals matter most, but you should already be using AI to improve parts of your workflow without sacrificing quality or judgment.

This is not a role for someone who was great at email five years ago and stopped evolving. If you get genuinely curious when deliverability rules or platform features change, and you've been incorporating AI into your work in meaningful ways, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Own email and lifecycle strategy and execution across an assigned portfolio of client accounts

  • Plan, build, and launch campaigns and automated flows (welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back, nurture, and more)

  • Develop segmentation strategies and manage list growth, hygiene, and re-engagement

  • Write and edit compelling email copy and subject lines, and improve on what already exists

  • Set up and manage A/B tests, then act on the results

  • Monitor and improve deliverability, sender reputation, and inbox placement

  • Build reporting that clearly connects email performance to revenue and client goals

  • Directly implement the majority of the work inside client ESPs and related tools

  • Support upsell conversations for current clients when your expertise can help uncover or explain opportunities

  • Stay current on email best practices, platform changes, and useful AI applications for the work

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of hands-on email marketing experience in an agency or multi-client environment

  • Proven ability to own email strategy and execution across multiple client accounts

  • Strong track record of improving email performance (engagement, deliverability, and revenue) through sound strategy and solid execution

  • Deep comfort with at least one major ESP (Klaviyo, HubSpot, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, or similar), and the ability to learn new platforms quickly

  • Strong skills in automation, segmentation, A/B testing, and deliverability

  • Strong copywriting and editing ability: you can write email that is clear, on-brand, and converts

  • Comfort working with analytics and connecting email metrics to business outcomes

  • Fluent, professional written and verbal English. You will represent client brands and communicate directly with U.S. clients

  • Agency-tested judgment: you can prioritize well, work independently, and manage competing account needs without constant oversight

  • Thoughtful, practical use of AI in your workflow, with the judgment to know when to trust it and when not to

  • Comfort working remotely and primarily during U.S. business hours (9:00 am - 5:00 pm Central Time)
