Lead Product Manager

LEAD PRODUCT MANAGER

As a Lead Product Manager at SEMC you’ll be responsible for championing the player experience, refining our product strategy for an upcoming AAA title along with supporting our overall game portfolio, and driving alignment across various disciplines for key product decisions with a focus on influence, collaboration, and alignment versus leading with authority.

This role offers an ability to have a very significant impact on an upcoming AAA cross platform title that is aiming to meaningfully innovate in several key areas around gameplay, meta systems, and social play. We also have a growing portfolio of games you will be able to contribute your product knowledge too.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design, scope, prioritize and implement core features for a AAA cross platform game that make an impact for our players while maximizing ROI

  • Drive the team understanding of our audience, and how our work serves them, via competitive analysis, community research, industry data, user research, and product teardowns

  • Support the leadership team to further define the games product strategy, offering insights to help connect our work to our audience, and helping drive organizational alignment with our strategy

  • Resolve or expedite decision making towards timely resolution whilst maintaining strong buy-in and team morale

  • Champion our product strategy both  internally and with our publisher

  • Support detailed milestone planning, project gate preparation, and additional product-oriented artifacts

  • Facilitate integration of user research and insights feedback into our product roadmaps

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of game industry experience in a product-oriented role (PM or product-oriented Producer)

  • 2+ years in a senior or above-level role

  • Worked on at least one successful AAA live service title

  • Demonstrable examples of synthesizing data points & telemetry into team product roadmaps

  • Strong communicator with an ability to inspire teams and build confidence with stakeholders

  • Active gamer, familiar with a wide variety of popular online multiplayer games

  • Strong understanding of the game industry and invested in staying up to date in our dynamic industry

Bonus points for:

  • Acted as a lead for a AAA title through all phases of the product life cycle

  • Experience working in a remote work environment

  • Working with teams distributed across multiple locations

The base annual salary range for this position in the United States is $100,000 - 185,000. The base salary is just one part of the overall compensation package. SEMC also offers a package of benefits, including, healthcare coverage, unlimited PTO, a remote work environment, flex working schedule, parental leave support, 100% 401k match on the first 3% of your contribution, and paid local hangout meals and events. All full time roles are also eligible for annual bonuses and equity.

This base pay range is for the United States only and does not apply to international locations. The range for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
