Associate Creative Director

Integer is seeking an Associate Creative Director/ Art to join our agency!

A management-level creative position that requires mastery not only of skills to create concepts/copy but also a strong grasp of marketing strategy and an ability to motivate others in a way that consistently delivers results for our clients and elevates the agency’s work.

What You'll Do in This Role

  • Partners with agency colleagues (Account Supervisors, Senior Planners, etc.) to develop and drive the vision for the projects under their supervision.

 

Manages and organizes team workload and deadlines

  • Managing down:

    • Ability to evaluate briefs and ask relevant questions to clarify project objectives prior to the start-up

    • Understands how to assign appropriate resources and help manage workflow

    • Effectively evaluates and edits work; provides clear, actionable feedback

  • Managing up:

    • Knows when to engage Director-level support.

    • Communicates with CD, Account Service, and support groups in a timely and effective manner

  • Managing clients:

    • Always acts professionally

    • Knows when and how to push back

    • Fosters productive partnerships with clients at the appropriate level

 

Delivers consistent expertise in execution

  • Mastery of creative skills with the ability to delegate and teach:

    • Conceptual thinking

    • Impeccable sense of design and language.

    • Brand Voice and Audience (i.e., look, tone, and feel)

    • Incorporation of industry and consumer trends into developed work.

    • Effective differences between promotional, retail, and advertising mediums.

  • Mastery of creative presentation skills with the ability to delegate and teach:

    • Presents concepts against the brief/objectives of the assignment

    • Consistently supports creative ideas with fact-based rationale

    • Presents concepts to clients clearly and concisely, with and without the presence of a CD

    • Shows deeper understanding of marketing strategy by delivering concepts that both deliver on and push beyond the objectives and strategies outlined in the creative brief

 

Exhibits strong mentorship capabilities

  • Understands difference between doing and coaching; knows when to do one or the other

  • Provides thought leadership on both strategic and conceptual levels

  • Demonstrates ability to perceive the needs of junior associates to help them grow

  • Knows how to elevate the work of others/make the team shine

The Experience You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, related field, or US equivalent.

  • Five plus years of diverse art/writing & marketing experience with portfolio. Agency experience preferred.

  • Open-minded and personable with innate conceptual design ability.

  • Able and willing to listen, learn, and take direction well

  • Flexibility – able to work extra hours with little or no advance notification.

  • Listens and applies constructive criticism in job execution and performance issues

  • Able to apply learning’s from job to job

  • Good communication and organizational skills

  • Demonstrate ability to work as part of a team

  • Able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The following range represents the low and high of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of The Integer Group in the United States.  Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, associated responsibilities, and other organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.  Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire: $90K - $105K
