Your Part in Our Mission:
As we transition to be the go-to resource for all things parenting, we are looking for a Lead Product Designer to join our Brand Revenue team. In this role, you will collaborate with Product Managers, other Designers, Engineers and Product Marketers to build web products that will inherently drive adoption and growth. The ideal candidate will have experience designing mobile-first, content-rich websites and a proven track record of designing products that directly influence company metrics.
This position will report to the Chief Product Officer. Tinybeans HQ is located in NYC, however remote applicants within the US are encouraged to apply. Must have an online portfolio for your application to be considered.
You Will...
Own the design of tinybeans.com, working alongside Product, Engineering and Brand to create a first class content-rich, advertising-supported and visually cohesive web experience.Develop an intimate understanding of the market, competitive landscape, and user journeys (through surveys, customer interviews, market data, etc.) as relevant to our roadmap.
Mentor other members of the design team, giving guidance, feedback and being an active contributor to the growth of your design peers.
Conceive of innovative new features and pitch those concepts to your Product, Engineering, Growth and Content partners
Take a keen interest in our content, bringing your strength in Information Architecture to devise a user experience that makes the content understandable, digestible and engaging for our users.
Build your understanding of our AdSales needs, designing an experience that encourages user engagement while fulfilling the needs of our Ad Sales needs, and our advertising partners.
Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the Product and Executive teams
Lead design projects end to end across development projects, design sprints or user research
Design beautiful, simple, innovative, and intuitive experiences and flows
Identify the needs of Tinybeans users and improve on existing features
Regularly give and receive feedback on designs and strategic product decisions

Requirements
You have …
An online portfolio that demonstrates creativity and expertise in web design, information architecture, wireframing, layout and visual design
Extraordinary ability to advocate for UI consistency and accessibility
Experience designing across and on multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Web, and Email)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Highly proficient in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
Past management experience is a plus
Bonus points for experience in animation
Education & experience...
Higher education in design
Have experience with the following tools: Adobe Suite, JIRA, XD/Figma/and or Sketch, Zeplin, and Survey Monkey. User testing tools such as Userlytics or Usertesting.com, Miro, Leanplum, and Tableau.
