Finance Assistant

About The Role

To be based remotely in Portugal, we're looking for a confident ambitious early stage finance professional to join our team. This role will report to the Group Finance Manager and primarily focus on Accounts Payable and Cost Control whilst offering the opportunity to develop and gain comprehensive experience in various other finance duties. For someone eager to learn, this role is a great opportunity to gain knowledge and skills within accounting.

 

Main Duties

  • Accounts payable process - up to and including payment runs for 3 entities

  • Controlling staff expenses on our Expensify system

  • Posting of credit card transactions and subsequent reconciliations

  • Bank reconciliations for approximately 10 bank accounts in GBP, EUR & SGD

  • Balance sheet reconciliations across the group

  • Cost analysis reporting for our key budget holders

  • Assist with Payroll for our 3 entities

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in English

  • An active studier dedicated to a career in finance would be preferred

  • 2 - 3 years experience in a fast paced international business environment

  • Start-up and SME experience

  • Experience of working in the Technology space

  • Must have experience of working with Xero

  • A self-starter who can plan ahead

  • Inquisitive by nature and comfortable asking questions

  • Must exhibit the hunger to learn and progress

  • Appreciative of deadlines and able to prioritise

  • A team player but also able to work on own initiative

  • A track record of successfully working remotely
