This is an exciting opportunity to join a Finance team that is applying innovative technology and leveraging analytics to help transform the finance function into a digital finance organization. You will work closely with the Head of Finance and broader leadership team in understanding the key performance drivers and budget variances attributable to the performance of the various departments, helping to quickly pivot as required and driving delivery against our ambitious goals.
The FP&A Director is responsible for owning the companyâs budget and financial planning processes, performing financial analyses across the company, providing financial guidance for business partners to effectively invest, and maximizing impact of spend. The ideal candidate will not only have the technical skills to support their recommendations, but also strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
What you will do and achieve
Own the financial model and forecast to advise on resource allocation and strategic projects.
Spearhead loan volume forecasting for all our products across all regions.
Create and own the budget planning process
Drive annual and quarterly financial planning processes to align with Technology, Commercial, and Growth roadmap
Develop programs and processes for tracking managing budgets with senior division leaders
Develop key metrics to support hiring, scale and profitability goals
Diving deeply into financial data and becoming a subject matter expert on the key drivers and unit economics across the all channels to market & product suite.
Providing insightful analysis, identifying required action items, and effectively framing decisions to be made
Developing and maintaining effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
Who you are
Expert level experience in Financial modeling and deep Excel and google sheets modeling.
Working knowledge of SQL and innovator forecasting tools is a huge plus
An inquiring mind that can identify issues/anomalies and follow them through to a logical conclusion
Experience developing financial reports, budget templates and dashboards
Comfort with ambiguity; an independent thinker who is happiest in the âgreyâ â Uplift is a fast-moving, agile organization and you need to be comfortable with little structure or precedent
Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture
Demonstrated ability to influence others through effective verbal and written communication
A clear thinker with demonstrated ability to highlight issues clearly and succinctly
8-10 years of experience in the Fintech industry
Prior management experience
Prior FP&A experience at a hyper growth start-up
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate relationships with senior leadership
