
Senior Rigger
Wolcen is looking for an Senior Rigger, interested in working within a multi-cultural in our journey to develop our project. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and thrives in a collaborative environment, working closely with animators, character artists, and technical teams to develop the rigging workflow, pipeline and design the documentation for our team.
This is a full-time position. We are currently working remotely, and candidates within CET 卤2 time zones are ideal.
Responsibilities:
路 Rig and skin 3D assets (characters, creatures, props, sets, etc.) to achieve the intended animation quality for both gameplay and cinematics.
路 Work alongside Character Artists and Animators providing support and addressing feedback to get the best visual results in games.
路 Troubleshoot, maintain and improve rigs in production, while ensuring their stability for the animation team
路 Apply Strong mathematical knowledge (including linear algebra) to improve rigging techniques.
路 Research and develop custom tools and scripts to enhance and extend in-house tool.
路 Mentorship juniors and intermediate members of the team to help them raise their skills and standards
路 Expert proficiency in Autodesk Maya and rigging systems, including deformers, constraints, and skeleton structures.
路 Experience developing real-time facial rigs for cinematics and gameplay.
路 Strong knowledge of Python scripting for automation and tool development. (Python, Cmds, PySide/PyQt)
路 Ability to debug and optimize rigs for real-time performance.
Qualifications:
路 5+ years of experience as a Rigger in the video game or VFX industry.
路 Proven production experience in rigging.
路 Rigging portfolio showcasing technical and artistic rigging expertise
路 Sense of initiative, originality and resourcefulness in problem solving
路 Team player, good communication skills
路 Advanced English language skills
What could be nice to have:
路 Experience with Control Rig in Unreal Engine 5.
路 Familiarity with Human IK.
路 Experience with Motion Builder and motion capture pipelines.
路 Unreal Engine 5 technical knowledge.
路 C++ programming experience.
路 Experience with source control software (Perforce).
