Summary:
Age of Learning is seeking a Head of e-Commerce role to oversee the Company’s existing and future merchandising strategy and execution end-to-end. In this role, you will be a hands-on leader and will collaborate across the organization to achieve revenue objectives. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth and overseeing the user experience through strategic product selection, pricing, inventory management, and digital merchandising.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the online merchandising landscape, and the ability to translate existing branded content into effective product offerings. This role requires a deep understanding of e-commerce systems and preferred experience driving revenue growth with DTC brands. We are looking for candidates who have successfully scaled e-commerce operations from 0 to 1.
Responsibilities:
Implement and execute a comprehensive and cohesive merchandising strategy utilizing both existing partnerships and garnering new opportunities that align with company mission and goals.
Lead the product/SKU selection process, strategically curating an assortment of products that will drive revenue and increase brand affinity for our key franchises
Own the execution of site design, product hierarchy, and site content to drive engagement and conversions
Utilize data analytics to optimize product placement, recommendations, and overall user journey.
Oversee and optimize our Amazon business, ensuring brand consistency and maximizing sales potential
Identify and select vendors for SKUs, manage relationships, and coordinate operations across partners
Develop and manage pricing strategies that balance revenue growth and profitability
Develop and manage the merchandising budget, ensuring alignment and coordinating with Finance and Marketing
Track and analyze key performance metrics, including sales, margins, and inventory turnover, to inform decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a combination of education and experience
A minimum of 5+ years of managing an eCommerce operation including site merchandising, content coordination, UX testing, analytics and platform development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of driving growth and profitability through effective merchandising strategies.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for education.
Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable merchandising strategies.
Proficiency in merchandising software, digital tools, and data analytics platforms
Total Compensation:
The estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $175,000 USD to $240,000 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
