Account Executive - Japan
We are looking for an account executive to help develop and build sales opportunities with potential and current customers at Ahrefs in the Japanese market.
In this role, you will work with agencies and large brands to understand if Ahrefs is a good fit as well as develop and nurture existing relationships (think Fortune 500, leading software companies, and global marketing agencies) based in Japan.
Day-to-day you will help educate and consult companies on SEO best practices, identify opportunities to grow their business and scale their use of the platform.
This is a great sales opportunity for someone who is self-motivated with lots of room for growth as it will be a first sales hire in the region.
Unlike other organizations, you won’t be bound to aggressive sales metrics as a part of everyone’s bonus is compensated against overall company performance & a part of it is based on individual performance.
What the job entails
Manage the full sales cycle from targeted outbound to deal closure
Follow-up on leads and identify qualified opportunities by understanding their goals, plans, challenges, timeline, budget, etc.
Proactively reach out to current customers to identify opportunities for expansion
Maintain a deep understanding of our product and its updates to effectively communicate its value proposition to clients.
Present solutions and demo how Ahrefs can meet clients needs. For larger opportunities, work with senior team members to craft a custom demo & evaluation
Meet or exceed sales targets while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
The skills you need
Excellent spoken & written communication skills in Japanese and English
3-5 years of sales, or account management experience
Experience at a marketing SaaS company or SEO/digital marketing agency
Knowledge and hands-on experience with SEO is a plus.
Strong project management skills
Excellent written & spoken communication skills
