About this role:
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who will manage infrastructure projects and processes to enhance our CI / CD as well as production monitoring, scaling and security. Keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a solid knowledge base are essential. This is an individual contributor role.
Responsibilities:
Participate in scrum ceremonies (planning, standups, exits, retrospectives) on a weekly basis
Work directly with the development team
Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management
Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning
Handle code deployments in all environments
Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve
Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations
Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards
Enhance and Manage CI and CD tools with team
Document and design various processes; update existing processes
Improve infrastructure development and application development
Follow all best practices and procedures as established by the company
Who you are:
You believe in the agile principle of working software over comprehensive documentation
You are comfortable working independently, and often with limited direction
You are a persistent, relentless, and responsive DevOps engineer who is comfortable jumping between tasks to optimize the teams' velocity
Extensive knowledge of Cloud Security and Best Practices
You have a desire to be at a Silicon Valley start-up, with the commitment and hours that requires
You have experience working for a Startup
Minimum 2 years’ previous experience in development and operations, or related IT, computer, or operations field using AWS
Experience with Linux infrastructures, database SQL (MS SQL), CI/CD tools, scripting such as JavaScript and Python
Up-to-date on the latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently
Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
