Copywriter

Here's what you'll do  

  • Develop and maintain consistent organizational and program positioning language to be deployed across all communication channels, including website copy, social media posts, email campaigns, and promotional materials.

  • Establish a catalogue system to serve as a central resource for all organizational approved copy, ensuring accessibility and ease of use for all team members.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure that all messaging accurately reflects the initiatives, appropriate benefit claims and is oriented toward business goals.

  • Own the narrative for key organizational promotional materials like impact reports, pitch decks and program collateral.

  • Conduct review processes to solicit feedback from all appropriate stakeholders, make revisions and secure final approvals before publishing.

  • Adapt messages for the needs of different audiences, ensuring that they resonate with a diverse range of stakeholders including Sponsors, Executives, Academic Institutions, and the individuals we serve.

  • Write with a high standard for inclusive language across intersectional identities to foster engagement with AnitaB.org across all gender expressions, racial identities, LGBTQ communities, abilities, and other lived experiences.

  • Research and stay up to date on best practices for inclusive language and DEI communication strategies.

  • Edit and proofread copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines.

  • Provide guidance and support to other team members on using inclusive language and promoting DEI in their communication efforts.

  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Here's what we hope you'll bring 

  • Professionalism in team and external stakeholder interactions and communications, including honesty, integrity, respect, and commitment to advancing global, regional, and local DEI, in keeping with an organization with a mission to promote women and non-binary diversity, equity and inclusion in society and the workplace.

  • 3-5 years of experience working as a copywriter, preferably in a marketing or advertising agency setting.

  • Demonstrated expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and practices.

  • Ability to communicate effectively across the organization and externally, with exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

  • Portfolio highlighting experience creating inclusive messaging across various channels and platforms.

  • Ability to adapt messages for the needs of different audiences while maintaining accuracy and consistency.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar programs.

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Monday.com or similar project management platforms is a plus.

  • Ability to travel as position requires.

AnitaB.org is proud to offer a remote, distributed workplace. Please know we cannot accommodate remote work outside of the United States. The salary range for this position is $64,900 - $67,140, plus competitive benefits, including health insurance and a 403(b) discretionary match.
