The Role

Currently, Bounteous is searching for a Program Director to add to our fast-growing team. Successful candidates have several years of experience in partnering with clients and managing projects independently from inception through completion, as well as leading internal PM teams.

You’ll be responsible for prioritizing, guiding, and directing practice area and PM teams throughout the life cycle of various small to large projects. The right candidate will be an advocate for the project team, ensuring they are empowered and have the information needed to successfully deliver excellent outcomes.

Information Security Responsibilities

Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols.
Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information.

Role & Responsibilities

Independently lead and motivate diverse teams on various types of projects in a fast-paced environment while also managing a team of Project Managers.
Oversee projects led by direct reports to ensure everything stays on track, on budget, within scope, and follows internal processes.
Lead projects while managing 2–3 direct reports.
Manage project scope, timeline, budget, issues, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
Deliver digital projects on time and on budget, resulting in high client and team satisfaction.
Function as a Scrum Master to lead Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint reviews, grooming, planning).
Monitor, report, and manage project scope changes, budget burn, and timeline risk.
Build consensus within project teams to solve problems effectively.
Serve as an advocate for project teams, ensuring they are empowered and informed.
Communicate effectively with project teams, client stakeholders, and senior management.
Facilitate efficient meetings with clear agendas, discussions, and follow-ups.
Adjust communication style for different audiences and personalities.
Foster collaboration within project teams and direct reports.
Resolve conflicts productively and positively.
Act as a key client contact, ensuring expectations are met and results delivered.
Use project management systems to make data-driven decisions and provide reporting.
Work with clients and product owners to ensure business goals are realized.
Develop domain expertise in client business spaces to drive results.
Partner with Client Service Executives and Business Development to scope, size, and solution new opportunities.
Proactively analyze, propose, and implement process improvements.
Collaborate with Program Delivery leadership to implement best practices, new technology, and processes.
Coach and mentor team members.
Manage direct reports including oversight, performance management, goal setting, conflict resolution, and career pathing.
Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
Contribute to Agile and project management process development.
Continue expanding skills, techniques, and tools through continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications

BS/BA in a relevant program, or equivalent work experience.
7+ years of project management experience with increasing responsibility, including 2+ years of Agile experience.
8+ years of experience in consulting or agency project management.
Exposure to Scrum, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
Experience managing multiple teams simultaneously (4–8 people).
Experience managing distributed or remote teams.
Experience delivering large digital projects ($1MM+, 9+ months).
In-depth understanding of digital development processes and technologies.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience with Confluence/JIRA or equivalent tools.
Experience with CMS platforms (Adobe Experience Manager, Drupal), eCommerce platforms (Magento, Shopify), and Google Analytics a plus.
CSM and PMP certifications are a plus.
Some travel may be required.

Compensation

$122,000 – $145,000 per year Individual pay is determined by experience, education, and organizational needs. The mid-range to maximum is generally reserved for highly experienced candidates.
