Performance Marketing Manager

We’re looking for a remote Performance Marketing Manager to support our team. The ideal candidate will creatively solve problems by working with the Data team to cleanse and consolidate data to build out, and automate dashboards within multiple tools. They’ll be driving growth by managing and executing media buys, including trafficking, optimization, reporting and analysis, across multiple social networks, ad servers, and ad buying platforms. They’ll be constantly learning about trends and uncovering new opportunities for paid media placements. They’ll be radically candid when turning technical findings into digestible narratives and actionable insights about how campaigns have performed. They’ll own the process of deep dives into our data to design, analyze, and interpret information from multiple platforms (Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok,), both quantitative and qualitative in order to make recommendations

Intrinsically, you understand how the internet is rapidly growing and evolving. You’ll spend many of your days measuring and evaluating the success of social media advertising campaigns to inform investment decisions. Other days, you’ll be troubleshooting reporting and performance glitches, as well as gathering information on other media oddities. While making strategic decisions for internal and external stakeholders based on your data-driven insights won’t fall solely on your shoulders, you will be a critical part of it. You will:

  • Manage and execute aspects of Brainjolt media buys, including trafficking, optimization, reporting and analysis, across multiple social networks, ad servers, and ad buying platforms

  • Dive deep into our data to design, analyze, and interpret information from multiple platforms (Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok,), both quantitative and qualitative to make recommendations. Be able to articulate high-level conclusions and recommendations based off data, to both key stakeholders and cross-functional team members

  • Work with Data team to cleanse and consolidate data to build out, and automate dashboards within multiple tools

  • Monitor trends and uncover opportunities for paid media placements

  • Check quality assurance and improve tracking processes across different teams: tagging, trafficking, and reporting

  • Troubleshoot reporting/performance glitches as well as other media oddities, often seeing them before anyone else

  • Turn technical findings into digestible narratives and actionable insights about how campaigns have performed

  • Influence internal and external stakeholders to utilize data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions

  • Measure and evaluate the success of social media advertising campaigns to inform investment decisions

You should be ready to:

  • Have strong communication to work across departments to push the company and personal objectives forward

  • Be able to manipulate data with SQL knowledge being an added benefit

  • Implement and execute new strategies across ad-serving and web analytics tools (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, Pinterest)

  • Have a strong testing mindset to prepare for what’s to come instead of what happened

  • Multi-task and develop ideas in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Move beyond descriptive analytics and employ more sophisticated techniques (predictive & prescriptive analytics)

  • Work with cross-functional teams ranging from Editorial to Data to Operations

  • Build dashboards that everyone from technical to nontechnical users can use and make decisions using it

  • Proactively seek new information and maintain a current and thorough understanding of digital marketing best practices including industry trends, metrics, and competitive activities
