Bumble is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior FP&A Manager with experience in business partnership for our People and Culture (P&C), Legal, Customer Planning and Operations (CP&O), and Finance organizations. This role will provide strategic partnership and support to various functions across the organization, engaging directly with senior leadership to provide insights. You will develop, grow and support meaningful relationships with a wide variety of business partners to help them with their quarterly and annual budget planning, monthly budget analysis, ad-hoc modeling, and to support their respective expense management and headcount needs.
Reporting to the Head of Group FP&A, and with two direct reports, the Senior Financial Manager will play an important part in increasing commerciality across the organization, providing best-in-class analysis, reporting and decision support to commercial stakeholders.
This role will be based in the United States (Eastern time zone) with a direct report in both the US and the UK.
What you'll do
Partner and support with commercial stakeholders and executive leaders to assist with quarterly and annual budget planning, monthly budget analysis, ad-hoc modeling, and to support their respective expense management and headcount needs
Work closely with entire FP&A team to provide budget variance reconciliations, and track key operational and financial metrics
Drive growth and operational improvements across the team and the Company, identifying cost savings opportunities
Assist in the transformation activities of the broader Finance department to improve system automation, operational analysis, financial analysis and commercial awareness
Partner with P&C on company-wide compensation and bonus planning and processes
Support technology implementation/improvement efforts (ERP and Adaptive planning) ensuring FP&A needs and point of views are part of the project.
Initiate and implement process improvements that enable collaboration, productivity and transparency between FP&A and key business partners
Advise on business planning assumptions, trade-offs and scenarios to support strategic decisions within the business
Experience we are looking for
8+ years related work experience in finance or a related field, including prior experience working as a finance business partner
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or other quantitative field
Experience in a multi-national corporation supporting business partners across different geographies
Experience in supporting FP&A teams through recurring planning operations and understanding and analyzing technical opportunities to improve processes
Experience in financial planning systems is strongly preferred
Experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders with a strong customer service orientation and ability to influence key functional leaders
About you
Excellent business partnering skills with a holistic view of business strategy, processes and financial plans
Experience communicating and working with C-Suite level individuals
CPA or strong public accounting experience would be highly advantageous
Proven ability to work well in cross functional teams and develop strong working relationships across all levels
Exceptional problem solving, and modeling skills with ability to synthesize and analyze data and extrapolate meaning
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and ambiguous environment
Intellectually curious with a drive towards continuous improvement through process enhancement and change
Strong knowledge of planning and performance processes, annual budget, monthly forecast and quarterly business reviews
Desire to get into the details and help bring Bumble’s plans to life
