About the Role
We’ve been successfully growing the Strategic Finance team in recent months, and thanks to continued growth, we're looking for another FP&A Associate. We'd love for this person to be Vancouver-based.
You’ll work closely with our Strategic Finance Manager & Director of Strategic Finance, both based in Canada. This is a brand new role within our rapidly growing, world-class, data-driven, and tech-focused Finance function.
The FP&A Associate will help lead financial forecasting and assist the Strategic Finance team with commercial and financial analyses, as well as management & board reporting as we scale rapidly towards Series D and beyond.
This role also offers collaboration with numerous teams across the company—including Finance, Commercial, Credit, Growth, New Bets, and Product—to drive enhancements to analytical and forecasting capabilities, reporting, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A financial processes and forecasting, including variance analysis, reporting, and scenario planning at the group level
Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and modelling for key areas of the organization
Support regular reporting on key metrics to senior management, the Board, and investors
Support equity and debt fundraising activities in the lead-up to Series D
Contribute to company-wide strategy decision-making with budgeting, hiring plans, and expense management
Lead projects to develop and future-proof the finance function, exploring new tools and automating manual processes
What We're Looking For
At least 2 years of work experience in investment banking or in-house FP&A
Experience designing and maintaining complex financial models using large data sets
Ability to conceive and execute projects independently
Quick learner with an outcome-focused mindset, even without prior background in a subject matter
A “get sh*t done” mindset; comfortable rolling up your sleeves and delivering at pace with limited resources
Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with creativity in developing solutions for open-ended challenges
Nice to Have
Passion for, or previous experience in, the Tech/Fintech sector
Experience working for a global company across different time zones
Financial designation (CPA, CFA, CBV) or experience with transaction diligence (e.g., Quality of Earnings Reports)
