Job Summary

As a Head of Product Design, you’ll lead a team focused on high-impact, cross-functional work while staying close to the craft. You’ll help shape intuitive, flexible, and elegant experiences across complex problem spaces, guiding the team through fast-paced execution and deep collaboration.

This is a key leadership role at a pivotal moment in our growth—with years of new product work ahead and a real opportunity to help shape the future of Courtyard’s product and design culture.

What You’ll Do

Strategize on roadmaps and priorities with key cross-functional leaders
Ensure strong design practices from concept to launch, resulting in high quality, polished launches
Leverage data and research investigations to build strong points of view on product direction
Model strong communication skills and ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders

Provide clear direction and feedback, supporting team growth in both craft and behavioral skills
Participate in hiring, mentoring, and establishing team practices that improve quality and throughput
Hands-on experience using Figma to design and collaborate efficiently across teams
Be the champion for product excellence

What You’ll Bring

8+ years of professional design experience, including 4+ years managing or mentoring others preferred
Proven ability to lead the delivery of end-to-end product experiences, ideally across web and mobile
Strong communicator who brings clarity and storytelling to cross-functional forums
Experience working closely with Product and Engineering leaders to define and deliver outcomes
Collaborative, constructive leadership style that builds trust and elevates team performance
Expert in best practices in UX, design, and information architecture across responsive Web, iOS & Android
Strong project planning, time management, and collaboration skills
