Business Systems Product Owner, CPQ (EST or CST Preferred)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team in the role of Business Systems Technical Product Owner, CPQ. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, and oversee the delivery CPQ related quote to cash functions. This position will require partnering with stakeholders, architecture and implementation teams to ensure the delivery of critical features in our quote to cash infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) systems, integrating them into the end-to-end Quote to Cash process.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, finance, engineering, and operations to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.

  • Serve as the technical expert and product owner for CPQ systems, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and processes.

  • Manage the product lifecycle, including ideation, prioritization, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization of CPQ solutions.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision, roadmap, and delivery timelines while prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value.

  • Analyze current CPQ processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement and driving solutions to increase efficiency and scalability.

  • Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to resolve issues, manage risks, and ensure successful project delivery.

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices within CPQ and Quote to Cash domains to influence future product developments. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field or equivalent IT experience

  • 4+ years of experience in product management or technical product ownership, with a strong focus on CPQ or Quote to Cash systems.

  • Proven experience in implementing CPQ solutions (such as Salesforce CPQ, Apttus/Conga, or Oracle CPQ) within complex business environments.

  • Strong understanding of sales processes, revenue recognition, billing, invoicing, and other Quote to Cash components.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Proficient in Agile methodologies and experience leading scrum teams.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Experience with integration of CPQ systems into ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems is a plus.  

What to expect in the first 30 days:

  • Get to know Docker! Vision, mission, values

  • Request and confirm access & permissions for all tools, systems, platforms and channels required for day to day activities

  • Read all relevant onboarding, training and documentation materials

  • Meet cross functional stakeholders in Revenue Ops, Revenue Readiness, Finance, Product Ops and related orgs to align on pain points and priorities 

  • Review current backlog, roadmap, and OKRs 

  • Procure and expense any necessary WFH equipment

What to expect in the first 90 days:

  • Establish regular communication channels with stakeholders and team members

  • Publish regular status updates for ongoing Q2C-related projects

  • Coordinate enablement planning with GTM delivery teams

  • Coordinate regular sprint retrospectives in collaboration with scrum team leads

  • Align with stakeholders on 12 month roadmap

  • Align with Product Ops on NPI process

What to expect in the first year:

  • Demonstrate a track record of delivering CPQ system enhancements that streamline the Quote to Cash process, resulting in increased efficiency and reduced cycle times.

  • Become the single point of contact for status updates for quote to cash related projects 

  • Find opportunities for accelerating development and optimizing processes within and outside of the RevOps team 

  • Demonstrate advanced technical expertise in revenue operations systems and applications

  • Lead the team in adopting and implementing cutting-edge technologies and best practices

  • Build out longer term roadmaps and granular resource allocation timelines for project management 

  • Develops an in-depth understanding of Docker's revenue processes, relevant systems, and challenges by being deeply connected with other teams through regular and open collaboration
