Commissions Analyst,FP&A

At Docker, incentive compensation planning is a cross-functional partnership between FP&A, Revenue Operations, Sales Leadership and Accounting. Reporting to the FP&A leader, the commissions analyst will be responsible for leading the commissions planning process, building plans, analyzing potential outcomes and managing the approval and distribution of plans to sellers and Sales leadership. This role will partner closely with Sales Leadership and Revenue Operations to ensure comp plans and quota assignments lead to the intended results. Additionally this role will partner with the Accounting/Payroll team to ensure accurate administration and calculation of results.

This role is ideal for an analytical team player and self-starter looking to make an impact in a high-growth, rapidly scaling environment. This role will have a big impact on defining incentive compensation strategy as Docker’s Go-to-Market function scales to the next level



Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commission planning process, building seller and leader compensation plans

  • Administer the distribution and confirmation of plans and efficiently manage escalations and questions from sellers about their plans and performance

  • Be the subject matter expert on the finance team in reviewing the impact of compensation structures and sales program incentives and analyzing the effectiveness of compensation plans to appropriately incentivize the business to align with corporate objectives

  • Partner with the Revenue Operations, Sales leadership and Accounting teams in maintaining monthly commission reporting and modeling outcomes

  • Bring best practices to develop, implement, and manage policies and processes that scale our financial and revenue operations

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in finance and sales incentive compensation planning roles with direct responsibility of building variable compensation plans and calculating sales commissions

  • Proficient in SalesForce and experience using, implementing and/or administering Sales Performance Management tools such as SPIFF

  • General understanding of GAAP accounting rules related to deferred commissions and ASC 606

  • Ability to meet tight timelines around the monthly close process

  • Self-starter capable of driving business results without significant supervision

  • Detail-oriented with the highest regard for accuracy and completeness

  • Strong analytical background with the ability to creatively solve problems with math and a data-driven approach

  • B2B SaaS experience

  • Experience working in a high-growth, rapidly scaling environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build successful relationships and partners at all levels.

What to expect in the first 30 days:

  • Transition and take ownership of our existing commissions processes, models and documentation

  • Engage with partners in Revenue Operations, Sales Leadership, FP&A and accounting to understand current processes and opportunities for improvement and maturation

What to expect in the first 90 days:

  • Lead the commission planning process, building seller and leader compensation plans
