Part-time Controller with FP&A Experience

About Us 

Hi there, we’re Dynamite Ventures, the umbrella company for the site you’re on (Dynamite Jobs), Remote First Recruiting, our podcast (TropicalMBA), and entrepreneurial community (Dynamite Circle) that connects founders of online businesses (mostly e-commerce, SaaS, and Agencies) with each other through a variety of products like Masterminds, an online forum, and events all around the world. 

Our company is long-standing (by internet standards) with our first event being hosted in 2011. Since that time we've hosted hundreds of events all around the world and expanded into a hub of resources, products, and services for founders across the globe. 

We’re a small but mighty team spread across 4 continents and are looking for a highly motivated Controller to join our team part-time (10-20 hours/month). 

We are a small internet business with a podcast, a membership site, events, and business services (recruiting). We employ 5 FT employees, 10 contractors, and a variety of freelancers. We have about 10 products and a few subscription products. 

About the Role 

We're seeking a Controller who works hard, has excellent attention to detail, and would like the opportunity to grow with our company (we've been growing 30% YOY for the past 3 years). The ideal talent for this role will be able to assist in getting books closed the first week of every month. Hours for the role may be more during this time (we have a bookkeeper on staff who you will work directly with). 

We'd like to work with somebody who's got experience, who values a high level of communication (direct with founders), and rock solid financials. We're always looking to develop our monthly business reports (forecasting) and improve our budgets for the team. 

We'd love to work with somebody who's got room to grow, has some experience with small businesses, and doesn't mind going the extra mile when necessary. 

There's a lot of room for growth and this position is excellent for somebody who's passionate about FP&A but doesn't want a full-time job! 

Requirements 

• 5+ years of experience 

• QuickBooks Online 

• FP&A experience 

• Budget Setting 

• US Tax planning experience

Nice to Have: 

• CPA 

• Startup/small team experience

You’ll be hired as an independent contractor but this is a long-term role where you will be a key part of the Dynamite Ventures team.
