We move fast, experiment, learn a lot, and build new products for our growing base of 6+ million active users. At the same time, we continue to iterate and improve on our flagship products.

Head of Design plays a critical role in creating and executing the design vision for the company's products. The Head of Design is responsible for overseeing the entire design process, from ideation and concept development to prototyping and testing in close collaboration with product, as well as managing a team of designers and ensuring that their work aligns with their strengths and product’s and company’s overall vision and goals.

Responsibilities

• Create, secure buy-in and execute the design vision for the product.

• Cultivate an effective design process & principles for the team to contribute successfully and align with the organization's product strategy.

• Ensure consistency & high-quality designs across the team that meets Eneba's brand and language.

• Hire, mentor and participate in the evaluation of performance of Designers.

• Ensure successful end-to-end product development and delivery by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product and marketing.

• Collaborate with the product leadership team in crafting and executing the product strategy. 

• Identifying product-level design gaps and opportunities for improvement.

• Establish and lead the user research process.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of design principles and techniques that can be implemented into visually appealing and user-friendly designs that align with the company's overall vision and goals.

• Expertise of both web and mobile design practices, patterns and frameworks.

• Experience of people management for at least 4 direct reports for at least 3 years.

• Worked in at least 40 product people org in a high growth technology startup.

• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Expertise in leading, mentoring and managing a team of designers in a way that aligns with the product strategy and company goals.

• Ability to develop, establish and maintain design principles, processes and tooling aligned towards quality, consistency and efficiency.

• Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business strategy into actionable design principles and process improvements and influence the business strategy.

• Experience conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and improve the user experience of the company's products. 

• Deep understanding of marketplace/platform business model.

Gross salary: EUR 4000-6000

• Salary ranges may vary. We’re seeking candidates with varied experience levels; from individual contributors to functional leaders in this space.

• We’re an international team and our business language of choice is English. Good English level is required, proficiency is preferred.
