Financial Analyst

The Opportunity  

Everyday Health Consumer is seeking a talented and motivated financial analyst to join our team. As a financial analyst, you will work closely with the Consumer finance team & the EHG COH finance team, as well as and other key stakeholders in the Consumer business to support & create key strategic analysis to influence business leaders in decision making on revenue, spend and investments, while adhering to financial best practices.  

Key Responsibilities  

  • Consolidate and report actuals, quarterly estimates, strategic and operating plans and related variances for their budgets.

  • Coordinate the financial closes, financial forecasts, and annual Budgeting process for the Finance Manager & Sr. Director of FP&A, including helping dig into the details in helping to identify the actuals vs. budget reconciliation and related variances. 

  • Perform standard and special analyses that provide insightful views into the operations and financial performance of various Consumer business units.

  • Act as liaison between shared services and the operating business on any accounts payable / purchase order issues identified

  • Analyze current and desired state to help set targets by hiring department and gain alignment to the recommended plan

  • Consolidate and report Headcount performance across the Consumer organization.

  • Partner with the HR team to execute and be accountable to the plan within their hiring timing. 

  • Track commission payouts vs. cash receipts for various aspects of the Business. 

  • Create ad-hoc financial reports and models to support evolving business needs.

  • Creating/Updating/Maintaining files to assist with budgeting & tracking of expenses

 Job Qualifications  

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or related field.

  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and financial software applications.

  • Oracle Fusion and PBCS experience a plus 

  • Outstanding analytical, presentation, reporting, and communication skills.

  • Must be a self-starter who can work independently and take initiative in challenging situations

  • Strong attention to detail and high standards for quality and accuracy in work product.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with finance and non-finance team members across all levels of the organization and build strong working relationships

  • Highly proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
