🎯 The Role

Scope: APME (Asia Pacific & Middle East) | IC | Collaborates closely with the People team, Legal, Managers, and all employees

The People Ops Partner is the regional owner of the People function, combining strategic partnership with hands-on operational delivery. The role acts as the primary People contact for all employees and managers in their region, ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations, accurate payroll and a great employee experience, while bringing local insights into global initiatives.

πŸ”Ή People Operations (including Payroll & Benefits)

  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle across the region: contracts, onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, time-off and leaves, internal mobility.

  • Ensure accurate and timely data management across all People tools and systems

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing with external vendors, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and adherence to local regulations.

  • Own and continuously improve regional documentation and internal comms on people processes, policies, and FAQs

  • Serve as the primary regional point of contact for employee inquiries related to policies, benefits and payroll.

  • Partner with Legal and Finance to ensure compliance with labor regulations and internal policies across all jurisdictions

  • Own or support people systems rollouts and process automation initiatives

  • Act as a strategic and operational HR partner to teams

  • Support managers on day-to-day topics around team structure, performance management, employee relations, and organizational change

  • Provide coaching or guidance on day-to-day people questions and issues

  • Identify and escalate trends in feedback, engagement, or experience that need cross-functional alignment or solutions

  • Own and update regional HR policies and employee handbooks

  • Ensure local employment compliance through documentation, audit readiness, and vendor collaboration

  • Respond to audits or regulatory requests in collaboration with internal teams

  • Collaborate closely with TA, Compliance, EX, and IT to deliver a unified employee experience

  • Support cross-functional programs such as compensation cycles, engagement surveys, or headcount planning

  • Help maintain people team rituals, planning, and shared resources

🧬 Core Competencies

  • 10+ years of experience in HR Operations, Payroll and/or HRBP roles, ideally within global tech environments

  • Strong understanding of people systems, payroll, policy, compliance, and performance frameworks

  • Combines analytical rigor and accuracy in payroll and compliance with strategic insight and a confident communicator who advises, coaches, and influences stakeholders across levels.

  • Proven multi-country payroll execution with experience working across multiple countries with different labor laws and cultural contexts

  • Able to manage complexity, ambiguity, and scale with grace and structure

  • Comfortable working async, across time zones, and with minimal oversight

  • Experience in cyber security or global, remote-first, fast-scaling startups
