Data Analyst

We made a money+ app that gives everyone high-end rewards on every payment. Fluz aims to disrupt the payment experience by making it more social. Positioned at the intersection of social media, payments, and rewards, we are a fast-moving FinTech company experiencing significant growth. We sponsor H1B work visas.

We are looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst who excels in deriving meaningful insights to data to make better business decisions in a fast-growing FinTech company.

What you will do

• Gather, clean, and organize raw data from various data sources: internal databases, external APIs, marketing/sale platforms, etc.

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights to support decision-making and business strategy

• Ensure data integrity and consistency by performing regular checks and audits

• Design and create reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Excel, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI to present findings to business stakeholders

• Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and provide real-time insights

• Identify areas of inefficiency in data-related processes and implement automation solutions using scripts or workflow tool

• Support ongoing efforts to optimize business operations through the effective use of data

• Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other teams to translate data insights into actionable business strategies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

• Strong SQL proficiency for managing and manipulating large datasets, with familiarity in common functions and clauses

• Solid foundation in Python for data manipulation and analysis, with the ability to create custom functions for specific tasks

• Knowledge of statistical methods for trend analysis, hypothesis testing, and data validation

• Familiarity with data investigation steps, such as handling duplicates, missing values, and data types

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work independently in a remote work environment

• Proactive approach to learning new tools, frameworks, and data sources, with a willingness to explore innovative methods for analysis

• Proven ability to clearly communicate insights to diverse teams

• Nice-to-have skills: Knowledge of APIs and data engineering basics, machine learning experience, business acumen, understanding of the FinTech industry and regulatory landscape, and project management skills

Our Tech Stack

Our mobile application is built with React Native and Apollo on the frontend. The app’s backend is built with Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis, deployed on GCP through CI and Docker Images.
