The Role

We are looking for a Sr. Financial Planning Analyst who will play a key role in analyzing the financials of our R&D and G&A functions. THis role will proactively engage with the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Finance Business Partners (FBP) with ad hoc and periodic analyses that enables the planning, budgeting, and forecasting (PBF) process and business intelligence (BI).

 What You'll Do

  • Assist the FBPs in planning, analysis, coordination and consolidation of budgets and forecasts for the R&D and G&A functions of the business

  • Delivers quality and timely management reporting to include in planning, budgeting and forecasting for FBPs and R&D and G&A function decision-makers including ad-hoc analysis

  • Supports FBPs with both ad hoc and periodic analyses and financial models of R&D and G&A functions to enable PBF process and BI

  • Participates in the development of detailed monthly management reporting and analysis process for the R&D and G&A functions impacting decisions of the financial performance

  • Helps develop key assumptions and drivers of PBF process by challenging current ideas

  • Proactively provides transparent and frequent financial updates and actionable insights including trends, opportunities, and risks to support leadership options for business' action and decision making for FBPs

  • Proactively engages with Head of FP&A and Sr FBPs to ensure timely and accurate delivery of analysis

Who You Are

  • 5-10 years of experience in a corporate finance position or supporting a similar function in a business unit role with a track record of increased responsibilities

  • SaaS industry experience preferred

  • Experience in revenue recognition, financial modeling, business analysis, FP&A, business integration, analytics in a corporate (HQ) environment

  • Experience working closely with Executive level management

  • Advanced analytical and Microsoft Excel experience REQUIRED. Data mining and advanced data management & reporting skills required (Pivot, Vlookup, Data tables)

  • Experience with major reporting tools such as Adaptive Insights, Tableau and Salesforce.com strongly preferred

  • High degree of attention to detail

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to switch from complex to routine tasks when required

  • Proven ability to work to deadlines and successfully work on multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision

  • Prior experience in or around private equity or a private equity owned business is a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, MBA degree preferred

The typical base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000. The salary displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base pay for this position and your pay will be determined by a variety of factors, including your primary work location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
