Role Summary

Keep things moving fast

Infrastructure engineers (IEs) at HASH perform a triple "Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)", "DevOps" and "Developer Experience" function, helping keep the platform live, running reliably, and our team shipping fast.

Responsibilities

Uptime and scalability

All HASH infrastructure is managed as code (IaC). IEs maintain these infrastructure definitions, monitor the health and performance of HASH's live production and CI/CD/staging environments, and are the first line of call in investigating and resolving most service incidents. They also ensure other engineers and community contributors to HASH have the tools they need to effectively work with the codebase.

Requirements

Architect key systems

IEs should be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and be capable of architecting resilient, distributed systems.

A security engineering background, or demonstrable experience architecting secure-by-design systems is core to the infrastructure role.

Deep working knowledge of AWS is also a requirement.

What You’ll Achieve

Run with confidence

• Optimize and manage HASH's hosted infrastructure, maintaining and improving its security, scalability and performance.

• Implement telemetry collectors, service monitors, and other observability solutions.

• Develop and run our chaos, load and web-enabled simulation tests.

• Improve the developer experience for those running HASH locally and in their own clouds, making it easier to set up and update self-hosted instances.
