Accounts Receivable Specialist (Remote)

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and maintaining strong customer relationships. This role will play a key part in managing cash flow and ensuring that revenue is properly recognized.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role, preferably in a SaaS or subscription-based environment.

  • Skills:

    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

    • Proficiency in accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).

    • Experience with SaaS billing systems and revenue recognition is a plus.

    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

    • Experience with SaaS billing systems (Zuora or other) and revenue recognition is a plus.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Invoice Management: Generate and send invoices to customers based on contract terms, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Payment Processing: Monitor and process incoming payments, including electronic transfers, checks, and credit card transactions.

  • Collections: Follow up on overdue accounts, initiate collection activities, and work with customers to resolve payment issues.

  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, aging reports, and cash flow projections.

  • Customer Support: Address customer inquiries related to billing, payment, and account status.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and customer success teams to address billing issues and ensure accurate account setup.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of transactions and communications with customers.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles in all transactions and processes.
