EMEA Accounting Analyst (Remote)

The EMEA Accounting Analyst is responsible for managing and executing key financial processes within the EMEA region, ensuring accurate and timely accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with internal and external requirements. This role involves supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting cycles, analyzing regional costs, and participating in special projects aimed at improving financial operations and system enhancements. The EMEA Analyst will also play a critical role in the annual audit process, liaising with CPA firms and advising senior executives on financial matters.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Monthly/Daily Responsibilities

  • Participate in and support accurate month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting close cycles and development of subsequent internal and external financial statements, required regulatory reporting forms and tax filings. May assume a lead role, responsible for the accurate and timely analysis and reporting of various business cycles.

  • Analyze Cost of Revenues and OPEX Costs from EMEA region to ensure complete and accurate month end close.

  • Prepare presentations, statistical reports, schedules, and other information on operating results for management and outside parties. Consult with co-workers, clients and management on technical accounting or system-related matters.

  • Participate in or lead special projects as assigned. Projects may include but are not limited to testing system upgrades or enhancements, conducting financial analysis, and developing ad hoc reports and process improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure across-the-board implementation of standard finance practices.

  • Maintain accounting controls by following GAAP and internal accounting policies; maintain financial security by following internal controls.

  • Review and approve monthly general ledger and bank account reconciliations to ensure procedural consistency and compliance.

  • Reconcile and maintain the monthly commission rollforward and reconciliation for global commissions.

Annual Audit / Compliance Responsibilities

  • Ensure legal/statutory accounts are prepared in accordance with Local GAAP and in compliance with InMoment accounting policies; Understands the end-to-end process under his/her responsibility and report inefficiencies to accounting management, process improvement ideas and implementation with the relevant InMoment accounting and operations teams.

  • Serve as liaison with retained CPA firms to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit for the EMEA and APAC entities.

  • Responsible for statutory fiscal accounts completion within filing deadlines.

  • Advise senior executives and trustees as they provide oversight and governance to the organization.

  • Monitor open receipts and unmatched invoice reports daily to verify proper transactions.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

  • Proven experience in financial analysis, accounting close processes, and compliance within an international or multi-regional environment.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.

  • Proficiency in financial software and systems; experience with system upgrades or enhancements is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
