Senior Content Strategist
We are hiring a full-time Senior Content Strategist to create buyer education pathways and compelling content for specialized B2B industries.
Does this sound like you?
Ironpaper is looking for an experienced B2B content strategist who loves digging into complex topics like energy, software, petrochemicals, manufacturing, cybersecurity, and financial services.
Our ideal teammate can build content strategies that are informed by independent research, past marketing performance, and interviews with experts. Moreover, they’re ready to adapt these plans to changing business narratives without losing the “why” behind the work.
This is a role for writers who are excited to leave business jargon and product-focused one-sheets behind. The goal of our content is not to get someone to buy something by listing its features. Instead, we’re here to persuade readers their core business challenges are big and meaningful and worth solving.
To do that, we have to deeply understand the target audience, craft core messaging, and develop original ideas that fundamentally shift their perspective. Is it hard? Definitely. But it’s also a hell of a lot more interesting than cobbling together another blog titled, “10 Marketing Metrics You Shouldn’t Ignore.”
Of course, many companies still love waxing poetic about their product’s latest bells and whistles. That’s why we also need someone who’s confident enough to navigate feedback and collaborate with their clients to build a case for fresher content ideas. This goes beyond pitching an editorial calendar. Content strategists must speak to the methodology that underpins the work and lays the foundation for more tactical plans. We have a lot of fun, proprietary ways to share these approaches and we’re eager to teach people who are eager to learn.
While activities across accounts have a strong throughline, agency work is fast-paced and ever-changing. And, remote collaboration requires excellent communication – on Zoom, Slack, and within the margins of documents. That’s why it’s essential for our team to be self-motivated, service-minded, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
We value people who embrace new ways of working, including AI tools, to constantly learn and innovate. If you’re motivated by the opportunity to deepen your own content practice backed by a team of critical thinkers and performance marketers, don’t wait. Apply now.
