Account Officer Remote

Position Summary:


Legacy Construction & Roofing is seeking a responsible and detail-driven Remote Account Officer to manage day-to-day financial activities, including billing, invoicing, and account reconciliation. This fully remote role is ideal for someone with strong accounting experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, service-based business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and send invoices, monitor receivables, and follow up on outstanding payments.

  • Process and record daily financial transactions accurately.

  • Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.

  • Assist in generating financial reports and preparing monthly/quarterly summaries.

  • Coordinate with internal teams regarding payments, billing, and job costing.

  • Ensure all financial data is maintained securely and organized.

  • Support payroll data collection and vendor payments when needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance roles.

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and general Microsoft 365 tools.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Must have a reliable internet connection and quiet remote work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

  • Experience in construction or service-based industries.

  • Familiarity with CRM or project management software (e.g., Zoho, Buildertrend).
