About Momence

Momence is a next-gen booking and communications platform for experience-based businesses, such as a yoga & pilates studios, gyms, dance schools, salons & spas, golf facilities, swim schools, etc. We help over 1,500 businesses with scheduling & payments, communication, and automation of their business backend. We also have a customer-facing Momence app, where tens of thousands of customers book their wellness experiences every month. At Momence, we are bringing modern-day software into the experience economy, a growing part of the economy that is currently highly underserved by modern software.

About the team

Engineering is tasked with building the technology that helps our users to put revenue on the books, connect with their customers and grow. Momence allows small business owners to take control over how they operate and building features that enable them to focus on providing amazing experiences while we handle the hard part is a key piece of our business strategy. From making it easy for new users to switch, to developing products that delight their customers and drive engagement our teams are moving fast and shipping code that changes the way the experience economy works.

What will you do?

Design and build features and infrastructure that is scaleable, reliable, and makes simple solutions available to solve complex problems. You can expect to play a critical role in an early stage team, having an impact on the way that we scale not only our product, but our engineering culture. You will:

• Develop and maintain APIs

• Deliver a SaaS platform that is delightful to use

• Work on the full stack of our code base, building new products from inception through execution

• Set a standard for best practices in tooling, documentation, and engineering processes

• Work closely with engineering and product leadership to strategize and execute on an ambitious roadmap.

Preferred experience

• 5+ Years of software engineering experience, touching vertical SaaS or Payments

• Expertise in React, Typescript, and Node.JS

• You’ve built products that scale, and have opinions on how to do so 

• BS, MS, or Ph.D in Computer Science or a related field
