Senior Product Manager, Payments

The Mudflap mobile app connects professional truck drivers with fuel stops in the $800B trucking industry. We help SMB trucking companies save thousands of dollars on diesel fuel (their #1 business expense), while providing our truck stop partners with access to new, hard-to-reach customers. We’re growing quickly and are looking for a new customer-obsessed teammate to join us on this journey.

As a Payments Product Manager at Mudflap, you will set the vision and drive growth through payment optimization and innovation.

In this role, you will:

  • Optimize the current payment infrastructure to improve the performance of existing payment methods

  • Own payment metrics and derive actionable customer insights on how to improve conversion and customer experience

  • Stay on top of technological and regulatory trends related to payments, and make recommendations on Mudflap’s short and long term payment strategy

  • Work with, and represent Mudflap, to foster current and potential fintech and relevant partner relationships 

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners (Product, Engineering, Growth/Marketing, Customer Support, Legal, Finance, etc) to drive initiatives

You have:

  • You are an expert on payments in the US and Canada markets.

  • You are the person internal stakeholders go to for questions and discussions on payments

  • You are able to balance strategic and practical thinking towards product planning and roadmaps that make an impact

  • You guide and influence decisions with potential payment Partners and new products

  • You demonstrate a strategic and practical mindset in developing a payment strategy that drives short term and long term goals

  • You foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, especially Engineering, and can comfortably engage with team members at all levels of the organization to derive actionable insights and get things done

  • You can thrive in a fast-paced environment

The salary range for this role is $160,000 - $230,000. This information reflects a base salary range for this position based on current market data, which may be subject to change as new market data becomes available. The candidate's skills, experience, and other relevant factors will determine the exact compensation. This position may also be eligible for additional incentives such as equity awards or short-term incentives. Our benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, WFH stipend and PTO.
