
Software Engineer
The role
The Software Engineer, Alexandria will help their team deliver high-quality work on time. You will be a key contributor within a software development team that is focused on delivering best-in-class content in a variety of different types which are then transformed into an engaging learning experience. Additionally, you will craft great software and automated tests. You will also own delivery of features, independently. Reporting to the Director of Author and Publish, you will partner closely with Engineering, Product Management and Product Design to refine ambiguous work items into clearly defined, valuable work items.

Why we'll love you
You have 3+ years of experience in software development and demonstrated success in software as a service (SaaS). You are able to leverage your intermediate experience in Javascript, working with front-end frameworks (e.g. React/Preact and Node.js) and awareness of REST API’s and database understanding to effectively build and deploy a highly performant content creation system. You are deeply committed to building a more inclusive digital education platform and have experience working with WCAG and accessibility standards, web fundamentals, and responsive design. While not required, Graph DB experience is a plus.
