Community Manager

Hello potential future Oatly employee. It’s us, the original oatmilk company that started in Sweden back 25 or so years ago and has since expanded to the U.S. where we’ve continued growing at a rate such that we need more brilliant minds to come work with us to keep the momentum going and the oatmilk flowing.

We are seeking a Community Manager to join our team and drive impactful interactions across our digital channels.

Due to business needs, qualified candidates must reside in the Eastern or Central Standard Time zones. 

Here are the things we want to hire you to do:

Community Management & Consumer Communications
Work as part of the Community Management Team to handle consumer communications across digital platforms (email, social media, and others) in both the US and globally. Actively participate in our proactive communication strategy to connect with consumers and build a strong oat loving community.

Creative Community Engagement
Engage creatively with fans, consistently finding new ways to surprise and delight them, to boost excitement about the brand and its mission.

Complaints Management
Manage quality complaints to ensure consumer satisfaction and resolve issues effectively, creating positive experiences for our loyal oat fans.

Swag Management
Coordinate swag shipments, letters, and coupon mailings for fans, influencers, and partners, enhancing the overall community experience.

Trendspotting & Cultural Relevance
Stay ahead of social trends and news stories to identify opportunities for the brand to meaningfully join conversations. React quickly to cultural moments with engaging comments to strengthen Oatly’s presence and relevance.

Education & Experience
You have a Bachelor's Degree and/or strong professional experience that equips you for success in this role.

Positive & Proactive Attitude
You bring a hardworking, enthusiastic, and proactive approach, ready to help deliver on our Community Management strategy.

Strong Writing & Communication Skills
You're an exceptional communicator, skilled at structuring engaging and efficient messages. You understand how to craft the right tone for various situations and platforms.

Relationship Builder
You love building meaningful connections around something you're passionate about. You're hands-on, and excited to roll up your sleeves and contribute to serving our growing community.

Social Media Enthusiast
You're fluent in social media (Instagram and TikTok), and passionate about helping brands leverage their platforms. Your enthusiasm for how Oatly can cultivate and grow its community will drive much of your day-to-day work.

Consumer Focused
Great community management also means excelling in consumer relations. You’re adept at handling everything from frustration to passion, keeping calm and embodying Oatly’s unique tone of voice to turn the average consumer into loyal oat advocates.

Preferred Skills
Bilingual in Mexican Spanish is a big plus.

Community management at Oatly is about authentically connecting with consumers in a human way. As such we don’t use AI systems such as ChatGPT, but rather relay on our own CMs creative writing abilities. All applications will be assessed and penalised for AI usage in the test questions.

The salary for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. Compensation may also include bonus, commission, or equity as applicable. Our good faith estimate for base salary range is $70,000 - $75,000.
