Motion Design & Video Editor (Temporary)

Company at a Glance

OpenX is focused on unleashing the full economic potential of digital media companies. We do this by making digital advertising markets and technologies designed to deliver optimal value to publishers and advertisers on every ad served across all screens.

At OpenX, we have built a team uniquely experienced in designing and operating high-scale ad marketplaces, and we are constantly on the lookout for thoughtful, creative executors who are fascinated by applying market design, technical innovation, operational excellence, and empathetic partner service to the frontiers of digital advertising.

About This Role

We’re building out video content across web, social, and CTV, and we’re looking for a hands-on Motion Designer & Video Editor to help shape it. We want someone with strong motion design chops, sharp production instincts, and genuine curiosity who can explore opportunities, pressure-test ideas, and bring structure and expertise to branded content.

Whether it’s quick-turn social cuts or a full-scale brand campaign video, you’ll collaborate with brand designers, product marketers, and growth marketers to deliver high-quality visual content that elevates our brand. If you’re a motion designer who enjoys building the machine as much as running it, this is for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead concept development, storyboarding, shooting, and editing for digital-first content across platforms like LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram

  • Own projects end-to-end — from initial brief through final delivery — balancing creative quality, speed, and operational rigor

  • Design and animate visually compelling motion graphics that bring the OpenX brand to life across formats and audiences

  • Partner with third-party production agencies to bring campaign-level brand videos to life, offering creative direction and ensuring output aligns with brand standards

  • Translate complex ideas into clear, engaging visual stories — from sizzle reels to social teasers to explainer animations

  • Identify workflow improvements and apply AI-enabled tools to enhance production speed and elevate quality

  • Manage timelines and priorities across multiple projects while maintaining high design standards

  • Stay current with visual trends across the marketing and advertising industry

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in motion design, video editing, or content creation (B2B Tech/AdTech preferred; agency or in-house creative team a plus)

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with solid understanding of video editing and social content tools

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating motion design, static content, and video production range, with an eye for design, pacing, and storytelling

  • Collaborative and commercially minded approach, with rigor on creative quality and video performance

  • Exceptional organization and ability to manage multiple productions simultaneously

  • Familiarity with AI-enabled production, editing, or workflow tools

Engagement & Structure

  • September through December with an option to extend

  • Part-time contract (2–3 days/week) to start, with potential to expand to full-time engagement

How to Apply

Send a portfolio or reel that shows relevant work in the B2B/Tech space.

Compensation
