Project Manager, Operations Manual Projects

Role Title: Project Manager, Operations Manual Projects

Job Type & Location: Freelance, long-term, remote/WFH

Compensation: US$230 - US$250/daily session

About Us:

We are a Toronto-based operations management consulting firm with a team of 8 go-getters, specializing in helping growth-stage businesses scale effectively by building their systems and SOPs, and developing their Operations Manuals on Notion.

Guided by our core values—client-first approach, culture fit, and continuous growth and development—we’ve become the go-to partner for businesses ready to scale.

When teams grow, so does the need for structure—an Operations Manual makes new-hire training faster, smoother, and more consistent, while keeping the whole company running efficiently.

About the Role:

We’re looking to hire two detail-oriented Project Managers to lead client operations manual projects from kickoff to completion. You’ll be the main point of contact, guiding clients through our established, proven process—running “knowledge extraction” calls, mapping workflows, documenting SOPs (standard operating procedures), and delivering polished operations manuals on Notion, one daily session at a time.

This freelance role is perfect for someone seeking flexible, supplementary income, and meaningful work. Most team members start with about 8 to 13 full-day client sessions per month, with each day dedicated entirely to one client’s project.

A typical project takes about 10–15 daily sessions to complete, usually scheduled on a weekly cadence.

You will:

  • gain direct exposure to a wide variety of industries by working closely with business owners and operations teams,

  • be part of a supportive team that prioritizes your growth and development,

  • always have a steady pipeline of projects without the need to do your own client-hunting, and

  • make a real impact, helping growing businesses run more efficiently and scale with confidence!

Here’s What a Typical Day Looks Like:

Each client session follows a clear, structured process:

  1. Start with a 2-hour knowledge extraction call (training provided) to capture the client’s workflows and guidelines.

  2. Turn those insights into clear systems, SOPs, and a custom Operations Manual in Notion.

  3. Submit your work to a senior team member for review.

  4. Refine the work based on feedback, then share the final version with the client.

We provide full training to set you up for success.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant background in Operations Management, Project Management, Business Management, or a related field.

  • Proven track record in business process development and/or operations management.

  • Analytical and systems thinking with a practical, solutions-focused mindset.

  • Strong organizational skills—able to manage multiple client projects without dropping balls.

  • Coachable and eager for feedback, with a willingness to learn and improve quickly in a structured, fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to simplify complex information.

  • Dependable and client-focused, committed to delivering quality work and building trust.

  • Proficiency with Notion

How to Apply:

  • Submit your application through the Dynamite Jobs platform.

  • You also have the option to send us a short video (up to 3 minutes) to hello@operationsmavenue.com with the subject line “Project Manager Application.” While optional, we strongly encourage it as a great way to stand out and show us why you’d be an excellent fit for this role!

  • In your video, tell us why you want to join our team and what makes you a great fit for this role!

We look forward to meeting you—on screen first, and hopefully in person (virtually) soon after!
