Role
As HR Operations Manager, you will play a key role in building and scaling a professional People & Culture function within a fast-growing tech company and its emerging holding structure. You will own and continuously improve core HR operations, ensure reliable and compliant people processes, and act as a trusted point of contact for employees and leaders. This role is highly hands-on and critical for enabling sustainable growth while freeing up strategic capacity at leadership level.
What you'll do
Own and manage end-to-end HR operations across the employee lifecycle (contracts, onboarding, offboarding, changes)
Ensure accurate HR documentation, employee records, and data integrity
Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related questions
Prepare and coordinate payroll processes in collaboration with external provider
Own and continuously improve the HRIS (Personio, Greenhouse)
Design, document and standardize scalable HR processes and policies
Ensure compliance with labor law requirements and internal governance standards
Support the implementation of group-wide HR standards across multiple legal entities
Support recruiting operations (contracts, onboarding coordination, data tracking)
Organize company events, such as team dinners or summer party
About you
3–5 years of experience in HR Operations, HR Generalist or similar roles
Strong hands-on experience with operational HR processes
Solid understanding of German labor law and HR compliance basics
Experience working with HR systems and digital tools, such as Personio or Greenhouse
Highly structured, reliable and detail-oriented working style
Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
C1+ in English (German is a strong plus)
Nice‑to‑haves
Experience in a scaling startup, tech company or holding structure
Exposure to multi-entity or international HR setups
Experience preparing or coordinating payroll
Familiarity with ATS systems and recruiting operations
Interest in process automation and HR efficiency
Experience working remotely or in distributed teams
