UX Content Strategist

We are looking for a Lead Content Strategist to join our team. This is a new role at Own Up in the product organization and will help influence product design and development to ensure we are serving the right message at the right time to our customers. You will be responsible for ensuring content creation and messaging consistency are planned and implemented across the customer journey for our product teams and will play a key role in furthering our brand reputation.

Additionally, this is a 100% remote opportunity with applicants located in the Eastern time zone as a preference.

The Daily

  • As a member of the Product Development Team, you will partner with product managers and designers to strategically develop consistent, clear, and compelling messaging across the product experience on all platforms.

  • Communicate concepts and content rationale and hierarchy to project stakeholders across the company, most notably leadership.

  • Contribute to a multidisciplinary team that can include product managers and designers, sales, and other stakeholders, to craft content deliverables that help us achieve our business objectives.

  • Deeply understand the motivations and behavior of customers using our product and help determine how to solve customer problems. 

  • Participate in research initiatives from competitive analysis, content audits, and usability studies to keep up to date on industry trends and customer expectations.

  • Contribute to and help evolve our brand style guide.

The Essentials

  • You have 2-4 years experience of professional content strategy or copywriting experience 

  • You are someone who is passionate about clearly communicating and simplifying complex information through the power of thoughtful, informative content.

  • You love listening to customers, discussing strategy with colleagues, but also rolling up your sleeves to make concepts into a reality.

  • You view problems holistically and use data and customer insights to inform your decisions.

  • You are detail oriented with an eye for organization, content hierarchy, and good design.

  • Collaboration is exciting to you and you enjoy understanding the perspectives of others.

  • You are OK with multi-tasking and can synthesize multiple perspectives to get the most important thing done.

  • You are positive, creative, curious, and aren’t afraid to ask a lot of questions.

  • You’re experienced and comfortable with the following tools: Google Workspace, Slack, and Figma.
