Senior Project Manager

About us

Rare Days is a multi-disciplinary digital product studio obsessed with helping creators and community-led organizations build lasting legacies. Since 2020, we’ve designed and built products at the intersection of content, community, and commerce, empowering creators and content-led businesses to turn their passion into sustainable platforms.

Our clients range from world-renowned creators like Esther Perel, Colin & Samir, and Sophia Amoruso to global companies like Airbnb and Notion looking to foster vibrant digital communities. We specialize in membership platforms, creator tools, and community-driven products and our edge comes from knowing these audiences as well as we know product design. We use that insight to build high-performing, scalable experiences that help creators and communities grow with purpose.

We're a distributed team, based in Canada, and are open to candidates located within 4 hours of PST time zone.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager who thrives at the intersection of creativity, product strategy, and execution. You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performing digital products from strategy and design through build and launch. The ultimate goal is to shape projects to leave a lasting impression on our clients and their users.

This role requires both operational rigor and a technical mindset. You’ll manage multiple concurrent projects, shape our delivery processes, and ensure client work runs smoothly, efficiently, and impactfully. You are the glue that holds the projects together and drives the team in the right direction.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for both internal teams and clients.

  • Plan, drive, and support the creation and launch of successful brand, web design & development projects.

  • Own and manage delivery plans, timelines and scope. Forecast project resources, groom project financials and plan sprints with the other leaders on your team.

  • Proactively identify, communicate and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle setting clear expectations and outcomes with our clients and adjusting plans and timelines as needed to keep deliverables on track.

  • Manage the client and internal teams’ tasks, reviewing project needs and communicating weekly priorities, focus tasks, and upcoming milestones, ensuring everyone is focused on the same outcomes.

  • Lead client communications with regular updates about milestones, progress, and risks, addressing concerns promptly and ensuring client stakeholders are aligned and prepared to make timely decisions. This ranges from running Zoom calls, to Slack posts and robust documentation.

  • Ability to quickly establish rapport and trust with team members and clients.

  • Collaborate with other Project Managers to improve our internal processes and tools.

  • Triage and prioritize incoming client requests, clarifying requirements and collaborating with design and engineering to determine impact and next steps.

What we're looking for

  • 6+ years experience as a Project Manager or Product Manager in a digital agency.

  • In-depth understanding of the processes for UX/UI design, branding, and web development engagements

  • A "get things done" attitude, we are a small and resourceful team, so the ideal candidate will embrace that environment.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both in meetings and written. We’re fully remote so asynchronous communication is important and Project Managers must lead by example.

  • Comfortable leading difficult stakeholder conversations, navigating roadblocks, and proposing paths forward.

  • Strong attention to detail and tendency to push your team to improve their work, you sweat the small stuff.

  • Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. waterfall, agile, “wagile”)

  • Aptitude for learning new tools and utilizing AI to increase our impact and efficiency.

  • A collaborative mindset that treats clients as partners, ensuring they have the context, clarity, and confidence to make timely decisions.

  • Strong prioritization skills - able to triage requests, ask the right questions, and focus the team on what drives the greatest impact.

Bonus skills

  • Experience working in Notion, Linear, Figma, and comfortable recording Looms

Compensation and benefits

  • The opportunity to shape digital products used by some of the most well-known creators, platforms, and online communities

  • Competitive compensation

  • Unlimited paid time off for vacation, sick days, and personal time

  • Flexible working hours and a remote-first culture

  • Extended health care benefits for Canadian employees

Compensation

$100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
