Accounting Manager

SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. This role is pivotal in building and enhancing accounting processes and policies, overseeing the accounting team's growth, and ensuring the implementation of best practices. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, the Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the company's scalability and success.

Full-time - 100% remote - Location: Continental USA

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We’re a startup, so you’ll have to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and doing whatever is required to support our mission. Rasa is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge customer experience tools, complementing our extensively deployed open-source conversational AI platform. The Accounting Manager will lead efforts to implement and improve accounting practices, facilitating the company's sustainable growth. As an Accounting Manager, you can expect to:

• Provide and manage all aspects of customer invoicing, collections, billing inquiries, sales tax determination collections, and remitting, and revenue recognition functions.

• Oversee all aspects of accounts payable, including budget owner approvals, vendor inquiries, and initiating payments.

• Assist in all month-end close processes, including GL reconciliations and posting journal entries.

• Track and report on various financial data to management.

• Manage and enhance Netsuite best practices and procedures, and system automation through various integrations.

• Build a top-notch accounting team in the coming years. 

ABOUT YOU

• Accounting degree, CPA a plus.

• 5-10 years of accounting experience.

• 3+ years working with Netsuite and Salesforce.

• Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS).

• Experience with multiple currency accounting.

• Strong self-starter with the ability to work well under pressure and effectively plan personal workload.

This role is part of the Finance department, and will report directly to the VP of Finance. The Finance team will consist of this role our FP&A Analyst and the VP of Finance.
