Mission For the Marketing Coordinator

To optimize top-of-funnel engagement by ensuring that all marketing content is “shipped” on time and is optimized for high engagement and reach.

Required experience in:
    - branding & brand management
    - video editing/content creation
    - organic marketing strategies

Bonus points for:
    - experience in organic YouTube growth/content creation
    - experience with wordpress/website maintenance

Outcomes // KPIs:

1. Grow each of the company’s social channels organically by 10% month-over-month, while maintaining strong audience quality/intent and content engagement.

You will achieve this by implementing the following while keeping all content focused on our specific niche:

  • Developing effective social media strategies for each channel

  • Optimizing content for the channels it’s being posted on

  • Posting content regularly on each channel

  • Using feedback to improve content quality

  • Daily posting of social content on Instagram, Facebook TikTok, the company website, and email lists

  • Daily execution of team & administrative tasks.

2. Finding & developing content ideas, staying up to date with current trends, creating & posting social content:

  • TikTok Shorts: 5+ per week.

  • Instagram posts/reels: 5+ per week.

  • YouTube shorts & long-form content.

3. Daily execution of team & administrative tasks.

In addition to driving top-of-funnel engagement, you will have a minimal amount of team & administrative tasks:

  • Attend daily meetings with the marketing manager via Zoom.

  • Know your numbers at the beginning of every meeting (actual numbers, projections, and if you’re on pace).

  • Have a positive focus to share with the team

  • Be proactive with asking questions and getting help with what you’re experiencing and any reason why you aren’t hitting your numbers.

Reporting:

  • Daily: Send in your “beginning of day report” (more on that in the training)

  • Weekly: Update your personal projections & numbers sheet.

Traits we're looking for:

Integrity:
Be someone who follows through with what you say. When you commit to something, follow through. When you fall short, own it and put structures in place to prevent it from happening again.

Organization:
You will be in charge of organizing and scheduling hundreds of posts each month across various social media platforms. It’s important that everything be properly planned out and methodically organized.

Marketing / social media skills:
Your success in this role will largely depend on your understanding of various social media platforms and your knowledge of how to leverage them effectively. You will need to develop a solid understanding of the tactical, technical and strategic elements of digital marketing.

Analytical:
You will need to measure the results of your efforts constantly and use that data to inform your decision-making.

Efficiency:
Don’t waste time. If it can be eliminated, done more quickly or said more succinctly without sacrificing quality, do it.

Results-Oriented:
Always start with the end in mind. Focus on the end result and measure your performance by the degree to which you achieve it.

Proactivity:
Wherever you are in relation to your projections, you must know why. If you’re ahead, you must know what you’re doing well and what needs to be reinforced. If you’re behind, you must have the awareness to know WHY you're behind. Proactive behavior will create awareness. And your awareness will allow you to adjust your behavior to get the results.

Humility:
You’re going to constantly be learning, iterating and improving. Be excited to be wrong if it improves your ability to see the truth and succeed.

Attention to detail:
Much of the work you’ll be engaged in will require you to ensure that small details do not get overlooked.

High standards:
Do work that you’re proud to put your name on.

Marketing Coordinator Position Description:

You will have the freedom to make your own schedule. That said, you will be expected to dedicate enough time to reach and surpass your goals each month as well as work on projects that better position the company for the future.

You will also be expected to complete your beginning-of-day tasks (see above) every day, Monday-Friday.

You will also be expected to be available to communicate through Slack.

Altogether this is a full-time, 40 hours/week position.

This position is remote. So you will have the freedom to work from anywhere.

You may request time off anytime with adequate notice and proper planning.
