
Report Coordinator
Description
We are looking for a Report Coordinator located in the Pacific time zone to join our national Central Processing Center team. The Report Coordinator assists engineers and other technical staff with the proofreading and editing of technical reports. Principal duties consist of report review, editing, formatting, and distribution to client. You will support a diverse group of external clients, as well as internal contacts at all levels within the organization.
This will be a remote work position and will require adequate work-at-home space with minimal interruptions. This role works under minimal supervision, exercising initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned tasks.
Requirements
Job Duties
Proofread multiple types of engineering, architectural, and fire investigative reports to ensure quality, formatting, and compliance with corporate standards
Check reports for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and readability as well as cross-check information in various databases. Suggest and track all edits and recommendations. Adjust settings for format, line spacing, and other style requirements as required in accordance with company standards
Transmit reports to clients
Enter electronic notes in the internal company database memorializing various key milestones and store documents in respective job folder
Communicate with engineers/architects/fire consultants and administrative staff across the Company
Required Education, Licensure, and Experience
High School Diploma with some college
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a word processing role
Must possess excellent grammar, business writing, editing, and proofreading skills; work requires continual attention to detail, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines
Experience with MS Teams is highly desirable
A background in construction or engineering is a plus
Experience with legal documents or contracts is a plus
Microsoft Office Certification in Word desired. Must obtain within six months of hire. An advanced knowledge of MS Word is crucial to your success in this role

Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and presentation software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Ability to read/write the Spanish language is a plus, but not required
Advanced Microsoft Office required
Advanced English language, grammar, and punctuation skills
Ability to work under pressure and be flexible
High attention to detail and focused
Comfortable doing repetitive work
Ability to respond written or verbally to job-specific and general inquiries from management, peers, subordinates, clients, and external vendors
Work Hours and Overtime
This position is salaried with a non-exempt FLSA status. Regular working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific, Monday through Friday, with one hour for lunch. There will be periods where overtime will be required, which the employee will need to comply with in order to meet the demands of the position.
