Senior FullStack Django Python Software Engineer

We’re a fast-growing B2B SaaS Company disrupting the Specialty Tax & Accounting industry seeking a professional Senior Django Python Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team.

This is a LONG-TERM and ongoing FULL-TIME contract.

SegStream (https://www.segstream.com/) was born out of our founders’ shared need to produce Cost Segregation studies more efficiently and, ultimately, more profitably.

The journey began in 2017 with a focus on translating the engineering-based method of Cost Segregation Analysis into a precise, consistent, and enjoyable software process for Cost Segregation engineers.

Shortly after the release of that first product, and recognizing the tremendous opportunity for continuous innovation in the space, the team decided to begin a more ambitious project: developing the first Cost Segregation Automation software made for Accounting & Specialty Tax Professionals.

The Role

We’re seeking experienced developers to work with us (founders) and our growing & talented engineering team. We’re all passionate and excited about what we do, and hoping we can find similarly driven individuals to join us.

Our company and our product are established, but we’re growing quickly. Ideally, we’d like to have someone who can join the team and “hit the ground running” and take on immediate development responsibilities.

We’re here to give you the orientation & support as well as the tools you need to succeed.

Our engineering team is made of 2 Senior Developers, 2 Mid-level Developers, a Junior Developer, and 3 QA Engineers.

Location: Anywhere in the World, BUT you must have the ability to work Monday - Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM PST (US West Coast hours).

The Pay: $2000 - $3500 per month (Commensurate with experience)

Details: This is a contractor, long-term role. Looking for a strong & seasoned software developer capable of eventually providing leadership for our engineering team.

Requirements

• 5+ Years Full Stack Django Python Development Experience (not counting University) - Excellent Communication Skills, written & spoken English fluency

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to comment & write unit tests during development

• Experience building successful enterprise-level software products

• Has led a development team and fills gaps where needed - Player + Coach experience

• Great planning, prioritization & time management skills

• Agile workflow experience & familiarity with daily SCRUM standups - Scumaster experience a bonus.

• Can provide 3+ examples of successful, large-scale products previously developed

• Proficient with popular front-end languages & frameworks, HTML, CSS & Core Javascript

• Strong Math Skills & a high level of comfort with mathematical equations

• Familiar with AWS server setups & docker/containerization/micro-services

• Familiar with popular Django functionality & experience integrating Excel/PDF print capabilities

• Proficiency with Celery/RabbitMQ & MySQL DBs, & Web Sockets

Candidates meeting the above requirements will be interviewed on three different levels by professionals in our organization and must also successfully complete a trial assignment.
